internet pharmacy affiliates run by MyRxCash.com. In December, Legitscript was able to shut down operations for MyRxCash itself, and the hundreds of affiliate websites it had created.
MyRxCash, also known as Pronet, was warned by the FDA in September about their activities. The FDA letter warned Pronet that its “websites offer products for sale in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). Over the last few years, Legitscript has acted to shut down many fake internet pharmacy affiliates run by MyRxCash.com.
More specifically, the websites listed below offer unapproved and misbranded new drugs for sale.”
In December, Legitscript acted to completely shut down MyRxCash. According to Legitscript, “MyRxCash.com functioned as the website where, if you wanted to operate your own rogue Internet pharmacy for a profit, you joined the program and downloaded a template that processed orders on behalf of the rogue online pharmacy network.”
Once Legitscript had shut down MyRxCash’s operations, the fake pharmacy affiliate network quickly moved there operations to another domain, Partners-Profit.com. The new website has registered with Rebel.com, a registrar that Legitscript has “identified as being a top destination registrar for rogue Internet pharmacies.”
The Wall Street Journal reports that a similar action by Canada Drugs.com stifled an effort by the FDA to shut down their operations. Canada Drugs also moved their registration to Rebel.com after they were kicked off of the Australian-based Fabulous.com at the request of the FDA. Rebel.com is the same registrar that came to MyRxCash’s rescue when Legitscript acted to shut down their affiliate network.
In November, the Canadian-based Rebel.com was rated the number 2 Rogue Internet Pharmacy registrar in Legitscript’s monthly “Rogues and Registrars: Top 10 List.”
