India tops in making duplicate medicines, says survey

BELGAUM: Believe it or not.   India produces spurious and counterfeit drugs worth Rs 4000 crore in a year.   Nearly every popular drug has a duplicate version, which may worsen the conditions of the patients and even may kill the patients.
