Expired medicine prescribed


KUWAIT: A citizen recently told Kuwait local daily, Al-Anba, that when he took his sick baby son to the paediatric department at Farwaniya hospital he was prescribed cough syrup by the hospital's pharmacy that had expired over two months earlier.
The man said he could not believe his eyes as he got the medicine from an official government pharmacy, not a private one, that is supposed to be run properly and checked periodically for medicine validity.
