Japanese arrested for selling counterfeit Viagra, other drugs


(Kyodo) _ A Japanese man was arrested Monday in Gardena, California, on federal charges of trafficking and selling counterfeit Viagra and other fake pharmaceuticals purchased from China, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Masaru Yamasato, 44, was arrested by the FDA's Office of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement following a nearly eighth-month investigation, said federal prosecutor Mark Krause.
