Upper East CEPS destroys contraband goods


The Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) in the Upper East Region on Thursday, burnt a quantity of confiscated goods estimated at about 112 million Cedis.

The items, which included assorted foreign cigarettes, fake and expired pharmaceutical drugs, mosquito coils and Chinese herbal tea, were seized at various entry points in the Region by CEPS personnel over the past four years.
