Providing affordable medicine through a ‘People’s Pharmacy’
The government recently launched the Apotek Rakyat (People's Pharmacy) program in an attempt to provide affordable drugs and encourage pharmacists to disseminate appropriate information to the public. Head of the Indonesian Pharmacist Association (ISFI) Haryanto Dhanutirto recently spoke with The Jakarta Post's Desy Nurhayati.
Question: What are the objectives of the People's Pharmacy program?
Answer: The government is committed to providing people easier access to medications at affordable prices and guaranteed safety by prioritizing the procurement of inexpensive generic drugs in the People's Pharmacy.
