NAFDAC destroys N24.25b counterfeit drugs in seven years
THE National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has in the last seven years, carried out 123 destruction exercises of counterfeit and substandard products valued at over N24.25 billion.
According to the former Director General, Prof. Dora Akunyili,
45 convictions have been secured in respect of counterfeit drug related cases, while 60 cases are pending in courts.
