Three assailants entered a delivery company in South Memphis, Tennessee on December 17, 2010, and robbed eight employees of their personal items and money. While one employee was held at gunpoint , the others were coerced into loading three vans full of prescription drugs originally destined for routine pharmacy delivery, reports WREG Memphis.
An additional employee avoided capture by the alleged assailants and called the police after escaping the building.
The three suspects stripped the employees of their clothing and locked them ina fenced area while they absconded with the vans and goods. Two suspects, 20-year-old Patrick D. Dotson and 22-year-old Ralph J. Jones, are now in custody, charged with eight counts of aggravated kidnapping and robbery, and one count of aggravated assault, and are being held on $1 million bonds, reports WREG.
Two of the three stole vans were recovered by police on a residential street four miles away, where witnesses identified Dotson and Jones as the drivers, reported WMC-TV5.
One suspect is still at large and one van of stolen drugs and goods is still missing.
