Shabbir Imber Safdar, executive director of the Partnership for Safe Medicines, will participate in the upcoming United States Patent and Trademark Office Roundtable: Future strategies in anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy.
Panel 6: Deterring Bad Actors will feature insights from intellectual property experts and other industry and consumer stakeholders on how to prevent criminal activity in the marketplace and curb the flow of potentially dangerous products to consumers and patients.

Who:
Shabbir Imber Safdar has been at the Partnership for Safe Medicines for over a decade and was tapped to lead it in 2017. Shabbir is passionate about patient safety and the dangers of counterfeits, having seen firsthand the dangers of counterfeits in countries around the world where a closed, secure drug supply chain doesn't exist.
