Court documents in the case of Florida v. the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reveal that that federal government won't be making their much-awaited decision about whether to authorize Florida's Canadian drug importation program by Halloween 2023, after all.

Attorneys for the government filed a status report on October 20, 2023 saying that because Florida had not submitted an updated application, they would not be deciding whether to authorizing the state's drug importation program by the previously stated October 31 deadline.

Three days later, on October 23, Florida's attorney's filed their own status update to inform the court that they had submitted an amended proposal on October 20.
