Nigeria: Fake Drugs, Greatest Weapon of Terrorism – Akunyili
DIRECTOR-General of National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Dora Akunyili has described fake drugs and drug abuse as the greatest weapons of terrorism against public health.
Prof. Akunyili said fake drugs caused treatment failures, worsening disease conditions as well as high death toll urging members of the public to rise up and join the crusade against the malady.
She made the plea in her presentation at the Ndianiche Ofe-Imo annual seminar, at the Ndianiche Ofe-Imo Primary School, Arondizuogu, Okigwe local government area, Imo State, recently, organized by the Lagos branch of the Town Union.
