Dahl also spoke about extending law enforcement to counterfeiters working abroad:

"Years ago I was on a house committee as an investigator and the DEA indicted a guy named Pablo Escobar for bringing cocaine to the United States, and Pablo said, "I've never even been to the United States. How can those guys indict me?" Well, I think that that's how to play it with the Canadians. We've seen some indictments–Strempler. I hope we see a lot more. Clearly they're violating the laws of the United States and they need to be indicted in the United States and they need to be brought here in handcuffs and locked up for a long time. I'm hoping that we're going to see more and more and more of that. I think we're just starting, but it's going to happen. I agree that's really the only way it's going to put an end to it."
