SPEAK UP: Tell Florida legislators that buying non FDA approved drugs from Canada isn't safe for Florida patients, and won't save money.

Instead they should be taking on the Pharmacy Benefit Managers and health insurance companies that are pocketing hundreds of millions in rebates and inflating the cost of medicine.

Why can't Florida just import drugs from Canada?

Florida has 21 million people and Canada has 36 million. They are currently experiencing over 1,700 unique drug shortages right now. The Canadians will not exacerbate shortages for their own people to sell to Florida. Additionally, the Canadian government is on record saying that they are not responsible for inspecting medications bound for America.

What's the real answer?

Pharmacy Benefit Managers and health insurance companies pocket hundreds of millions of dollars in rebates from drug manufacturers. Medicine in Canada in cheaper because their PBMs and insurance companies aren't allowed to do that. We should adopt that policy as well.
