Your Senators Voted To Help Stop Illegal Fentanyl From Entering The U.S. Please Thank them!

Late last year the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to allocate $9 million to buy border patrol agents new equipment for detecting illegally imported fentanyl. If you're not familiar with fentanyl, it's a medically powerful substance that is imported from China and then pressed into counterfeit pills that look just like prescription painkillers or Xanax.

Unfortunately many of these pills are made so poorly that there's enough fentanyl to kill the person who takes. Poorly made fake pills killed Prince who thought he was taking a normal painkiller. Deaths from these fakes have been traced to sixteen states, and the fake pills have been found in 42 U.S. states in the last 24 months.

The U.S. Border Patrol needs better equipment to spot these pills inside the millions of packages that come into the country every day. Fentanyl is easier to smuggle because even 3 milligrams is a sufficient dose to kill a grown man.

On December 21st 2017 the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to pass the INTERDICT Act (HR2142) which funded the purchase of these machines, and on January 10th, 2018 it became law. Please use our email-Congress tool below to thank your Senator for supporting this measure. Your message will go straight to the offices of your Senators.

Why does it require things like Prefix (Mr, Ms, etc) and my phone number and email address? Are you going to call me, or sell that information? Because of so much spam, Senate offices require that we collect and deliver to them information for people submitting letters such as Prefix, Phone, and Email address. We will not call you based upon the information you submit here.
